Duco Digital are Proud to Support Plastic Free Redcar & Cleveland.

Plastic Free Redcar and Cleveland is an initiative designed to reduce single-use plastic usage across the Borough. Plastic Free Redcar and Cleveland encourage individuals, organisations and businesses to be less dependant on and make the change away from single-use plastic to help the environment.

Businesses and individuals who are looking to reduce their single-use plastic usage can pledge to make three changes in order to reduce the amount of single-use plastics they use.

Examples could include:

  • Use paper or metal straws instead of plastic ones

  • Use a refillable cup for drinks at your favourite cafe (usually reduced cost for the drink too)

  • Consciously look for eco-alternatives to everyday items such as washing scourers - there are some great bamboo dish brushes that last longer.

Businesses can also earn official certification recognising that they are now plastic free.
